Notices 1. November 1 & 8 the Care Team will be collecting items to create care packages for our post secondary students. Bring treats and let them know of your support.
2. The Christian Academics committee welcomes students enrolled or considering enrolling in Mennonite schools to apply for tuition assistance from our Spending Plan. This application is for school attendance during 2010, either the January - June term coming up,or the fall term beginning next September. Remember, our congregation supports church schools and recognizes their importance in Christian education, preparing people for using their gifts in all areas of life and in the mission of the church. Application forms and information regarding this financial aid are available from Susan Seyler, and must be returned by November 15th, latest. Please ask Susan at church, or call her at home.
3. November is Family Violence Prevention Month . When we talk about family violence, we help to break the silence. Everyone in the community has a role to play in helping to prevent family violence. 10. Last weekend Menno Valley Sound raised $4,100 in a benefit concert for MennoHomes . Participants in last Sunday's Ride for Affordable Housing achieved $69,000 in cash and pledges. This leaves $81,000 still to be raised to meet the goal of $400,000. MennoHomes wishes to thank the band and the riders for their very significant efforts!
