Personal Notes
  • Marg & Milt Mohr thank God for the safe arrival of a granddaughter on Sunday, October 4th.
  • Congratulations and God’s blessings to Loretta Lichti who will be celebrating her 80th birthday on Thanksgiving Monday.
  • Congratulations to the riders and sponsors who supported the RIDE for Refugees which took place on October 3rd. Through your efforts and generosity, the MCC team raised $4415. You have made a difference! There are 67 million refugees and internally displaced peoples according to a United Nations 2007 report. Over half are women and children, vulnerable and voiceless while they flee war, persecution, and tribal violence. The RIDE is a way that we can personally connect to this crisis, and it's a way for us to make a real difference in a refugee's life.

Remember In Prayer This Week
  • Several Integrated Mennonite Churches in the Philippines are located in the region most affected by Typhoon Katsana. Pray for Mennonite Church Canada Witness worker Daniel Pantoja as he helps coordinate relief efforts with IMC and Mennonite Central Committee and that Christ’s love will be clearly demonstrated. Gifts for “Asia Disasters” can be made at an MCC office; www.mcc.org/donate  or 1.800.313.6226.
