LOGOS
LOGOS combines fun and focus on God every Wedensday for children and youth in grades 1 - 12. It is time for youth and adults to join together, learning about Christian faith and about each other.
Many adult volunteers give their time to play, teach, nurture and care for the youth who come to LOGOS.

The Four Parts of LOGOS

Worship Skills:
LOGOS participants develop responsibility for and practice in worship skills, and they use these skills to lead worship in Sunday morning services.
Bible Study:
Bible study nurtures youth and children into becoming followers of Jesus. We learn about who God is and who we are as children of God.
Recreation:
The goal of recreation is to experience great fun at the expense of no one. Enjoy games, crafts and lots of fun
Family Time:
Dinner is served! Each week we share in a delicious familty-style meal. Youth are invited to share important events in their lives with their peers and adult table parents.

Sign In & Sign Out Procedures
Each child and youth must check in each evening as they arrive. A greeter will be located at the main entrance. All children and youth are expected to participate in all four parts of LOGOS each evening; please notify the LOGOS coordinators if there are unusual circumstances which require a child to leave early.
Preschool Program
Childcare is available for children in kindergarten or younger on Wednesdays during the time their parents are fulfilling their commitment to serve in LOGOS. There is no fee; however, please sign up to ensure adequate staffing. Meals for preschool children ages 3- 5 are $3.00.
The Importance of Adult Volunteers
A key part of LOGOS lies in the adult volunteers who participate in the program. Without these volunteers, LOGOS would not exist. Children and youth “catch” the Christian faith by entering into relationships with adults whose lives reflect their Christian faith and who treat everyone as a child of God. Whether an adult is leading a game, washing dishes, teaching a Bible class, or being a table parent, they are demonstrating to children and youth that they love them, they want them to know God, and they desire for them to develop a relationship with Jesus and with the church.
Absences
If you have advance notice of your child’s absence, please let one of the coordinators know. If your youth or child is going to be late or absent, please call the church office.
If an adult volunteer must be absent, he or she is responsible for finding a replacement volunteer for the dates he or she will be absent. Please notify the appropriate coordinator of the change.
Visitors
We encourage youth and children to bring their friends to LOGOS. The person bringing the guest should pay for the meal for the guest ($5 per night). Please advise the Family Time coordinator in advance if possible.

Registration and Fees:
Parents or guardians must fill out a registration form, including health information.

Fees for the winter semester:
First child $80
Second child $60
Family maximum $180
Adult meals $5 each
No family should feel that their child/children cannot attend because of the cost. A scholarship fund will help pay for the program for anyone who cannot pay the entire fee. All scholarship arrangements are strictly confidential.
